Coiling
We perform spring coiling through two different processes, hot winding, and cold winding. Cold wound springs are most common and do not require the metal to be initially heated in order to form the wire into coils. By contrast, hot wound springs are created by heating metal material until it is pliable and then forming it into a coiled shape. Hot coiling is typically reserved for springs needed for larger applications like suspension coils and those used in heavy construction whereas cold coiling is used more often for everyday spring production.
