Types of Carbon Composite Springs

Type 1
Type 1 carbon composite disc springs must be used in pairs. The disc springs are stacked in series and configurable for linear or non-linear load curves. In most cases, type 1 carbon composite disc springs are used to replace compression springs.

Type 2
Type 2 carbon composite disc springs use an ID guide rod to align elements and can be used to replace traditional disc springs or coil springs.
Benefits of Carbon Composite Springs
Carbon composite springs offer a number of benefits, including
- Load curve customization (low h/t ratio)
- Lightweight, with up to 60% weight savings
- Non-magnetic
- Zero side loads
- High thermal insulation
